I’ve been burned by SEO companies overpromising, will this work for me?
We always promise low results (with hope of delivering high) as there are so many factors that influence successful SEO (industry, competition, niche, keywords, etc.) that are out of our control. However we have a high client retention rate and have case studies to back up our work.
How long is the commitment for SEO work?
No contracts and you can cancel at anytime before your next billing cycle. However, we ask companies to plan for 6 months to get the most value for their money. This allows us to monitor trends and seize the right opportunities.
How much does this cost?
Our websites vary but can start for as little as $295 when you add one of our monthly care plans. Our standard SEO package starts at $895 for the first month and $495 for each additional month. For additional services beyond our standard SEO package (extra monthly work, additional keyword tracking, brand tracking, reputation management, content creation) we will work out a custom package for you.
Do you support email service?
If you have purchased a domain name through Center Street we will configure any settings with our registrar system required by your email provider. We're happy to point you in the right direction but we do not offer support for anything that would require us to login to a third party provider (email browser client like Outlook or an email provider like gmail or zoho)
Can I see an example of a monthly report?
Absolutely. Here's an example care report. Every month you will receive a report with your website information.
What is included in “Support” (i.e. unlimited small changes) within your website Care Plans?
You simply send us an email with clear instructions on the content you want to change on your website and we get straight to work and let you know when it's done - usually by the next business day.
Content changes include anything 30 minutes or less. This typically covers things like updating text, changing out images, formatting a blog post or adding a testimonials section or a new event to your website.
Support can also include things like adding or removing buttons, WordPress plugin research and setup, embedding 3rd-party scripts, server or DNS changes, configuring forms, cleaning up CSS issues and general WP questions and assistance.
Support tasks do not cover creating advanced or custom features like an online shop or membership section and does not include changing WordPress themes. Support also does not include graphic design, advanced SEO or content creation.
Who owns my site if I leave your service?
Your website is your copyright and your content, so you are free to take your website with you anywhere. We can export your site for you easily from our hosting. Keep in mind that there are some specific details you’ll need to know in order to keep the same design if you choose.
How do I connect my existing domain name or purchase a new one?
We make it as easy as possible to connect your existing domain name (i.e. myawesomebusiness.com) to your new Center Street website during the launch phase.
We also offer additional domains for purchase for $25 annual fee.
How long does it take to get my new website?
Once we have everything the process of building a site takes 2-3 weeks depending on functionality.
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
We can’t imagine you’ll use this, but if you’re not satisfied and wish to cancel within your first 30 days of service, we will refund your setup payment or Care Plan payment. No questions asked.
What if I want to make routine updates to my website?
You will have the ability to login to your WordPress dashboard to make edits anytime you would like. If you get stuck, our help desk is literally a click away, right from within your dashboard.
We also offer more than 50 video tutorials within your WordPress dashboard to help you learn the in's and out's of navigating your site.
Can I purchase a website care plan even if I’m not using your hosting?
Absolutely! If you have a WordPress site that you would like us to look after and offer monthly support for don't hesitate to ask.
Do you build sites you don’t host?
Yes, we do build WordPress websites that we don't host. However these are not eligible for our website package pricing. Our minimum price for a website we don't host and that doesn't have a corresponding annual Website Care Plan is $3,000.
Why is a care plan required for your website packages?
Websites are dynamic and change as your business changes. We've found that the best value we can provide for small businesses is walking alongside them and providing amazing website and marketing support so you can focus on running your business.
Are there any contracts or long term commitments?
If you're not satisfied with your Website Care Plan you can cancel at anytime before the next billing cycle. Our website packages have a 30 day money-back, no-questions asked guarantee. Custom websites require a 50% non-refundable deposit. *Website Care Plans for sites NOT hosted on Center Street servers require an annual plan.
When will I be charged?
For our website packages our setup fee is due at the time of purchase and Website Care plans kick in 30 days later. For custom sites outside our website packages, we require 50% deposit and the balance is due 30 days after launch.
Can I really cancel at any time?
We are all about building a valuable relationship with you and your website, so we would hate to see you go but we know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in.
Request a cancellation via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will immediately stop the next payment.
How does billing work?
Your credit card will be charged automatically every month on the day your plan is activated with us. You'll receive a reminder that you're credit card is about to be billed as well as a receipt in your inbox.
Can I use my own web host?
You sure can. Although we prefer to use our proven premium hosting, we'll review your web hosting and talk to your hosting company to make sure it will fit your needs.
What is your hourly rate?
When quoting work we provide a fixed price estimate before we get started so you can budget effectively.
In some cases, we use hourly billing where the work is customised or the scope is not fully known to give you more flexibility.
Our standard hourly rate is $95/hr for purchasing a block of 10 hours.
What if I need something outside the care plans?
If you have a task that is beyond what is included in your Website Care Plan (i.e., adding e-commerce, integrating a membership site), we will happily submit a quote for you to approve separately from your care plan.
What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?
The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we work hard to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case something does happen and your website needs emergency care, we will be there right communicating with the web hosting company on your behalf.
We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.
